150th British Open

Well, who you got?

Always a great tournament. Hopefully a little less drama than 1999. Anyone remember this?:

I’d love for Shane Lowry to win it
Of course, a Tiger win would just about set the golf world on fire

Hope Tiger is able to compete and finish well. Good for golf if he does.

Those links golfers always have a shot! Agreed it would be great to see either win. I'd assume Rory is a favorite. Hopefully he can make a run like he did in Augusta.

I think there real news of the day is Jack’s honorary citizenship, only awarded to two other Americans before him ... Benjamin Franklin, and Bobby Jones.

The other day, watched a show about the 2009 tournament.
All these years later, that one still bums me out.

I'm rooting for a LIV Tour player to win. Getting tired of the PGA Tour and media bashing them.

Good luck with Westwood and Poulter!

Matt Fitzpatrick has got to have a chance. Weather set fair however so Americans will have a great shot at this one.

I think there are at least 10 LIV players in the field.

Wow. Surely some of the big names will have a shot. Imagine the narrative if one of the LIV golfers end up winning.

Just saw a headline that PGA Tour is being investigated for antitrust violations. Thinking it might have been in the PGA's best interest to just coexist with LIV. Who knows...

It may add an extra bit of spice to see an LIV player in contention with a PGA stalwart.

It would be intriguing to see Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson dueling it out on Sunday

That would be great! JT was clutch at the PGAs.

Imagine if DeChambeau and Koepka were dueling it out on Sunday. Two LIV rivals. That would put the golf world in a frenzy.

Better yet would be Phil vs Tiger. Imagine those fireworks.

I just hope Tiger makes the cut. Every tournament has more buzz when he’s around on Sunday.

If he can maneuver the stinger around the bunkers he might have a chance! Will be fun to watch!

With the good weather that’s forecast they will be able to pitch it right up to the flag, just as they do on the PGA Tour. Shorts odds for an American winner I reckon.
London is cooking a bit right now! We are not used to this.

The Queen is only 92 or something. How can there be 150 British Opens?

Rough day for Tiger. He'll need a miracle round tomorrow and hope the weather keeps average scoring high.

You’re right he had a tough day. I played competitively years ago and couldn’t imagine playing without being able to practice as much as I wanted. I’m glad Tiger was able to win that Masters with his children in attendance and hope he somehow can get one more win on tour to move past Sam Snead for the record.

That’s record is sort of BS. Tiger already has it. Sneed won multiple tour events where the field was way too small to actually qualify for a tour event in todays standards. But I’m in agreement. If he wins 1 more, anywhere, he’s done. I could see him hanging on as long as physically possible to try and get one more.

It's just magical watching Tiger walk to the 18th full of emotion, over the bridge, waving to the adoring and appreciative crowd clapping his every step. What a great sight. Wonderful. He wont make the cut, but for all those lucky enough to watch, he is a winner and so are they for having seen him play.

I agree, he has already broken that record imo too. But it would be great for him to get the official record for total wins though. Such a multi-generational talent is Tiger. Jack deserves the majors record, especially with all of his 2nd place finishes it will never be replicated. I also doubt we'll see anyone do the Tiger Slam or Grand Slam again in our lifetimes as well.
