GMT IIc -7sec/day

I've got a used GMTIIc (V series) 2 months ago, once I got it I noticed that it about -4sec/day.But after wearing it for 2 weeks, I found that it slow down from -5sec , -6sec and right now it is -7sec/day !
Does anyone has such a problem like mine ?
I think I'll have to send it to inspect at the service center recently !

Thanks....

It can take a while for a new watch to 'settle'. If yours is still running outside of COSC specs after a month I'd suggest you have it regulated.

Just wear and enjoy your watch try resting your watch flat dial up at night when off your wrist could gain a few seconds back.Dont be too eager to get the back of for regulation, give it a bit more time, there will be some slight daily deviations.Try this give your watch a full manual wind 40 crown turns, set watch with a reliable time source. Then wear as normal, check watch daily with same setting time source then average it out loss or gain over a week.If then out of COSC spec average of -4 +6 a day perhaps have it regulated but a lot of things effect mechaical watches.Such as the movement is constantly effected by gravity, metal expansion and contraction, temperature variations, subtle changes in lubrication and friction, shocks, and so on.The fact is that no mechanical watch made will keep perfect time, very close yes but perfect no.

I keep mine in COSC by taking it off at night and leaving it FACE DOWN. It will gain seconds during the night. As the mainspring winds down, the watch will tend to gain seconds so night time is fine to do it. The above comments are all in line perfectly too and try them first!

If you consider that the initial base for your watch was -4 seconds... (as you stated initially)

Now after a couple of months it has settled and now is at -7 seconds... that is a change of (or differential of) only 3 seconds.........well within COSC standards..

Your only issue, on this precise watch, it that it is out of regulation..

Get it regulated and it should run within the 3 seconds you now see of whatever base the watchmaker sets it at...

I think the OP is saying--well, I know he wrote--that it is "-7sec/day."

If it is losing 7 seconds a day, that is out of COSC tolerance, and I would have it checked.

Odd, mine's at about +-3 right now. I haven't had it that long now, about a month or so. I hope I don't hav the same problem. I'd send it in, but it maybe you should give it another month to settle in.
