Red??? Green??? I’m Team Blue all the way.
Kidding aside this is home run from Omega in all the colorways, and I’ve truly enjoyed the watch. Cheers. |

Great photos everyone!! Great release from Omega. I'm intrigued... :-)
EDIT: €9,600....wow, €1.6k more than a sapphire Speedy Pro. I'm a bit confused. |

That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. I was lucky when I went the only bracelet model they had in stock was the black. Had it been blue or green I'm not sure I could have resisted.

Omega is such a delight....this thread reminds of Rolex of 10 years ago. New watch is released, it hits the stores, we purchase them, take pictures and discuss them. Fun stuff! I've not seen this model in person yet, but I'm going to my Omega dealer next week and hope they have one.

According to their rep from Omega, they should be seeing them by the end of October. |

I see the tactics here but I bring bad news. Whilst the bracelet and the case shape is very similar to your 321, the coloured dials, the different layout of the dial and the steel bezel makes it feel like a completely different speedmaster. This unfortunately means the adrenaline will be running even with the you saying to yourself the watch reminds you a lot of your 321! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

New new Speedmaster '57 questions
Quote:
Just wondering-if I buy this and keep it in a safe, will it protect my investment? Is it safe to wear while eating eggs and toast in my own house with the shades drawn? Is its wr safe to brush my teeth with it on? On that thought, is that too much jarring for the movement? Can I go for a walk with it, or is that too much too? Should I buy my AD a bottle of dom to get on the list? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

One other thing I found out about this watch in a video review is that this movement has the hour jumping timezone feature, which makes using the 3 o'clock subdial as a second timezone, or home time, even easier.

That's what I was told as well by my AD, oddly enough the standard black dial with the sandwich construction is my personal favorite right now. But I would like to see the green and the blue versions in the flesh to see if I would change my mind.

What am I missing here? The 57 Speedy had 3 subdials and no date, right? I don't follow the premise behind this "57" series that is so immediately and dramatically different in appearance. Am I the only one wishing they apply the rest of these dial and bezel nuances to a proper 3 subdial, no date configuration?

Did I read correctly that the 57 can track a second time zone? I’m looking for a watch that’s similar to a GMT to keep two or more times. Is this similar to GMT?

No, it can't track two time zones but it does have the jumping hour hand feature which makes changing the one and only time zone quicker and more accurate. When you pull the crown to the hour setting position the seconds keep running and the hour hand jumps an hour at a time without changing the minutes/seconds.
