Got a Tudor Call last night

I put my name in with a local Tudor AD quite a long time ago. Got a call last night that it came in. It is a 41mm steel MT5813 (cosc).

Never found one to try on yet. I have a 24hour hold on it because of the long list at the AD.

Any thoughts for me before I head over?

Website photo attached.

Yep. That is the only way I would buy. But I can say since I have never seen or held one yet.

PS - I kind of like the black face also. I depends how hard it is to read the time on a white one.

These are actually plentiful nowadays. Do not feel pressured or rushed to get it.

Have tried it on, it's not my cup of tea. There is a lot to like about it for sure so I won't talk you out of it.

Definitely check it out in person, I think you'll love it. Highly considered it prior to my recent P01 purchase.

I would go for the more legible black dial, but if you like chronos this is an excellent one. There just aren’t many good chronos out there, versus dive watches which have a lot more options

I've never even seen one in person, but would love to try one on someday. I really like the look of this piece, and it looks absolutely amazing in all of the photos and videos I've seen. If I had the opportunity to buy one, I definitely think I would go for it. Let us know what you think. I suspect we will see an incoming thread from you soon OP!

I had the black one but ultimately moved it along. I prefer the S&G version on the bund strap personally.

If only they had used a straight hour hand it would have been more beautiful than it already is. I think the snowflake hands should be reserved to the Pelagos as it goes well with the square indices

Not sure why Tudor didn't use the same handset as the THC, especially since it's part of the brands history.

Still a great looking chronograph.

Don’t feel in a rush. I’m seeing both colours in an Orlando AD and watches move fast here. I’m sure they are gone but still.

Not an easy watch to read. And a 45 min timer is not as convenient to use.

I went for the white dial...... Certainly harder to read than the black dial, so be mindful of that, but overall a truly fantastic watch. I certainly have no regrets but fo try it on

I don't have an issue with reading the hands on the white dial. The hands are mirror polished so reflect whatever they see. Rarely will they be the actual silver you see of the material.

Every watch is personal and you have to make your own decision. Go down and try it on, it's the only way to find out.

It’s a nice looking watch with some great features - dial colour is great, the touch of red really pops, but ultimately I moved mine on.

It was occasionally awkward to read the time, a bit bulky for my personal preference, and actually using the chronograph feature was a pain - both unscrewing the pushers and sun dials being obstructed by the hour hand.

I’d encourage you to see it in person.

Bought the exact same one last week (saturday) and it stopped working 3-4 hours later. They actually had one in the safe and sold it to me.No wait list.I was a bit surprised they had one available. I returned to the Tudor boutique and they confirmed it was not working properly and asked me if i wanted to send it to service or refund.I chose refund. Later that evening i googled the watch and read where others were having the exact same problem as mine. Im sure there are a lot of happy Tudor chrono owners out there but it did not work out for me.I still love my pelagos and have owned it for 4 years now.

Near impossible to read the time in certain light.
Beautiful craftsmanship otherwise.

I went ahead and purchased 79360N Tudor Watch.

So far I really like it. Having some trouble sizing it. This watch can fit 8" wrist which it great. Mine is 7 5/8". I took a link out on the bracelet at the 12 o'clock position and it is still a little too loose. So I took a second link out at the six o'clock position and set the clasp to the last set of holes and it is too tight. So I am wearing it a little loose. Hopefully I will figure it out over time. I am spoiled on Rolex's Glidelock on my two subs.

My plan is to use the Tudor in my rotation. I am on the list for a new Daytona white dial SS. Been on list for 2 years and the AD said hopefully at the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024.

So far all my wife said was "Merry Christmas". My collection now is nine Rolexes, one Tudor and one Bremont.

A photo of the set and obligatory TRF Wrist shot.

Merry Christmas.

Congrats!

As far as the sizing goes- check out the half link offered by Uncle Seiko. It was a real game changer for me. Good luck,

It's a great watch. Had mine nearly 3 weeks now and it's really grown on me even though I already liked it enough to buy it in the first place.

Legibility was an issue the first couple days but once I got used to it was fine, and as someone else pointed out the hands outside the lume are highly polished and very reflective. I find having a date at 6 and a 45 minute chrono more useful than the hour counter on the Daytona but of course your mileage may vary. The opaline dial is very beautiful.

The watch also wears very comfortably and makes the Daytona look quite small by comparison. Timekeeping is good, though with a negative bias. I'm losing about a 1/2 second a day on the wrist. Well within chronometer specs certainly, but I prefer a positive bias. Next time I set it I'll put it 30 seconds ahead and let it fall back. I also own a Breitling with the B01 movement and it also has always had a negative bias...so maybe a characteristic of the breed?

Lots of deliveries on this one lately. Christmas related shipments or slackening demand or maybe a little of both, who knows?

Looks great on black rubber, may have to look into getting me one of those to swap out.

I just tried one on this past Monday. It was the black model. The size is great, nearly perfect. I thought the dial looked really good. I actually prefer the black over the white because to me it's easier to read. The only thing that bugged me was the screw down pushers. I'm used to a Speedmaster with non-screw down pushers and it just seemed like a PITA to unscrew them and then screw them back down everytime I want to quickly time something. But that's just my preference and it certainly hasn't negatively affected Daytona sales LOL.

One cool thing on the watch I looked at is it was presented on the bund strap. That thing is really slick looking. I'd recommend adding that. Makes the watch pretty unique and feels good on the wrist.

good buy especially with the price inc coming. I got mine in March but the AD made me feel like they were doing me some type of huge favor by getting me a Tudor. See if you can leverage this AD buy into another Rolex.
