Incoming - Speedmaster 57 in Green

Super excited to share my latest addition to the collection. Speedmaster '57 in Green on the bracelet. I was fortunate to try this watch on in different colours and configurations 4-5 times over the past year. I quickly gravitated towards the green but was still unsure about choosing this over the traditional moonwatch. I even compared it to the latest and greatest from Breitling and came close on both the Navi and Premier (which are both awesome, in my view).

Anyway, so excited I landed on the green '57. Of course, when I finally decided to pull the trigger, I had to do some serious hunting and ordered this by phone from the Omega boutique in Vancouver because it was nowhere to be found in Toronto. I was especially motivated to lock it down given the anticipated price increase in July.

A few quick photos after it arrived today. I will try to write a review after having it for a bit.

Congratulations!

Did you try on the previous version? I tried that one on and found it quite thick but the numbers make it look like the revised version is a lot better in that regard though I haven’t tried it yet.

Interested how different you find them if you happened to try both iterations.

Hope you enjoy it.

Being a manual wind, the new version is noticeable thinner on wrist. I recently picked up the burgundy dial one and absolutely love it. I’ve been considering getting the green one too. The burgundy wasn’t favorite of the dials, but I have nothing like it, so I wanted to add it.

The watch is very comfortable to wear. I love the bracelet. Omega clearly knows how to make a great bracelet, so it gives me hope that they eventually fix the 300m’s bracelet.

Completely agree. I haven't tried on the previous version but this watch wears like a dream, even on my 16cm wrist. 13mm really isn't that thick when you consider how much space is taken by the boxed crystal. And agree - the bracelet really hugs the wrist despite a generous lug to lug on the watch.

Congrats on the burgundy! I find it bizarre that this watch is actually pretty hard to come by in any dial color and yet there's not that much out there in the public domain in terms of owner / influencer reviews...

Excellent choice, congratulations! Really like the dial colour and overall design, one of the nicest watches in the lineup in my opinion. Enjoy in good health.

What a stunner! I absolutely the green '57. I was so close to getting one a few months ago and I'm wishing I just pulled the trigger. My AD offered 10% off on it. But I keep getting pulled back into the Moonwatch camp.

OP, do you daily it?

Fantastic! I tried on one of these and it is a true stunner. Beautiful sports watch that has just enough flash to be worn in dressy situations as well. Love the olive shade of green they used too. So classy! Congratulations
