Income also matters, younger people are just starting out and don't have as much to waste on watches. $20k street price for a Pepsi - it's a lot to bite off. I'd be putting that toward a house down payment if I were starting out.

I have owned it. The reality is Rolex doesn’t make a bad GMT but a different vibe for each to fit the owners personal style.

Here is a Gen1 bezel color scheme to add to the mix. By far the most pastel hue of the the generation.

I realize I might be crazy...but I love these 16710s so much, I am actually considering selling my modern BLRO and buying a complete set 16710...probably insane to even contemplate.

The BLRO has a great deal of history attached, which guarantees its iconic status.

I do not like it at all, and actually turned one down about a year ago. I much prefer the "coke" color scheme, which I hope appears in ceramic soon.

I’ve thought I’ve thought about that as well. I’m glad I was able to finally try a 16710 on my wrist. Now I know for sure that the modern iteration is the one for me

Here's the crazy thing for me - I thought I loved the jubilee on the pepsi - and I do it photos, didn't like it on "MY" wrist when I had the chance. I've had the oposite reaction many times as well when finally trying something in the flesh so to speak...

However there's no denying the GMT Master II is one of the most iconic pieces ever made right next to the Sub

the five digits are great without the HUGH numerals on the bezel. I don't why Rolex enlarged them to make them clownish size. Go for it

It looks different on the hand - sometimes better, sometimes worse. However, it looks phenomenal in photos - it is very photogenic.

It’s a great looking watch, especially on the Jubilee bracelet. I only wish Rolex would make slightly smaller versions, of their beautiful SS sports watches, for us ladies. Sigh!

Truly my favorite Peps...

• Bezel color is vibrant with the aluminum Bezel
• Case design (especially the lugs) are thin
• Wears like a 39mm timepiece
