Classic v/s custom

Here's the skinny forum, my brother who owns a SS Daytona blackdial decided to do something that i thought would look bad but turned out looking great.

The casesides of his SS Daytona are now mettalic silver, which in my opinion looks Really Really hot, it really compliments and makes the bezel to recieve more attention . personally have been on the offical ROLEX site and in my opinion there custom designs suck , but that mettalic metal on the casesides of that daytona tones down the bling factor to me and brings more of an bling but suttle appeal.

QUESTION to the forum if you don't attend on getting rid of your watch would you customize it or keep it's classic appeal.

My vote is to be diffrent than the rest of the ROLEX crowd i like art on the wrist.

Theres nothing worse than being somewhere and someone has the same watch as you (shall we say dare to be diffrent)

Your thoughts weigh in

Nothing wrong with a customized watch.....

But, just because it's custom doesn't make it look good to everybody else...

Besides....... it's a watch........... it's not like you're at the prom with the same evening gown on..................

I don't understand. What is "metallic silver"? Do you mean brushed? To brush the case sides and lugs would probably look good, for a proper tool watch look.

The safest place for your watch is on your wrist.
