I seriously hate this place. This piece is amazing. They happened to pop up back on the TH website and I bought one today. FML!
Gorgeous piece! |

You’ve made a terrific choice. I went with my Skipper to my Rolex AD (actually it is the same company but different boutiques). People at Rolex were smitten by Skipper’s dial. We unanimously agreed that Skipper is even better than the Celebration (which I also happen to own). bibbi |

Glassbox series looks great. I really like the gold one but 20k for a tag not sure I can pull the trigger. Skipper is available direct from Tag now which is very tempting

I’m not going to change the strap. I like it as it is. I appreciate the watch as a whole as proposed by Tag. bibbi |

That's an absolute stunner. I've picked up a previous gen Carerra and a Monaco last year and love them both. TAG has really made great strides to get themselves more competitive the past several years and the Skipper is definitely in that camp. Nicely played, nicely played.

I think this watch is pretty dang awesome.
Ya know... I don't get all the Tag hate. I'm well aware of the in house movement faux pas and understand the nepotistic "turn off" of the young Arnault at the helm (since promoted). That said, Tag was the watch a young man wanted in the 80's and 90's. Rolex was for the oldies and Tag was cool. My Mom bought me a quartz Tag when I was 22 years old and I thought I was the baddest MF'r on the planet when I wore it. They make some cool watches. I think the glassbox chrono is pretty amazing. Now, would I buy one? Nah. Probably not, my list is deep enough already and I can't afford to allocate funds elsewhere. That said, if I saw a fire sale on the secondary for a Tag, it would be tempting to be sure. Sometimes I think new collectors say they "hate" Tag just becasue that's what the internet tells them they are supposed to say. |

The biggest turnoff honestly is all the "blogs" posting fluff pieces about the genius of the arnault kids and how they are wunderkind savants on watch design etc etc. I mean it was bizarre how so many sites had essentially the same articles talking about it.
I guess everyone wants to move up market but tag has always been the gateway brand to me. Pretty much everyone that wanted a "nice" watch in college had a formula 1 quartz. I mean I have that nostalgia and debated getting the orange one before it got discontinued. To get back on track, out of all the recent skippers I'm glad the production version is my favorite so I don't have to worry about fomo |

Overall package is beautiful. Glassbox design is
I am considering the regular Carrera but the indices are holding me back. To me in dim light they seemed poorly finished and looked cheap, not been able to get a close look wonder if it just my perception ?

Just got my Skipper this am. Came in a few weeks earlier than expected. Haven’t had a chance to spend a ton of time with it, but first impression is that it is beautiful! Packing is top notch as well!

As a hardcore Rolex fan boy... I just picked up the reverse Panda Glassbox and now thinking of getting this one too. For past week I been switching bewteen the Glassbox and White dial 116500. The joy is almost equal... Down the Heuer rabbit hole I go....

Beautiful watch! I’m waiting to see the new releases for this year W&W. My Tag SA is hinting a panda style glassbox on bracelet is coming out. I missed out on the 60th anniversary Panda LE, so this could be my next Tag.
