I said no and she said let me show you and took the gmt from the vault and show it to me because it just came in there wasn't any in display with exhibition only.
I tried it on and i say to her very nice i want one and can you put me on the list.
She didn't say anything but i have to leave for a meeting.
i say goodbye to her and she say can you pay the bill for the watch with my collegue.
So i was suprised and thank her to let me buy the GMT.
Yep….sounds entirely plausible to me.

A Walk-in SS GMT master II, what has the world come to?! hahaha

I have thought for a while now, that the 126710GRNR will be extremely available, the gateway drug for the GMT Master. I think most people will be able to walk in and buy these whenever they want at some point soon.

It looks too much like a Sub tbh. If I wanted a sub I'd just buy a sub.

Not knocking OPs purchase (big congrats) but I just find the watch one of the most underwhelming and lazy releases of recent memory from Rolex

You're saying this like trying to be a Submariner... It's clearly a GMT, in fact, it's even less like a Sub than the old 116710LN was.
Not many steel Submariners with a 2 tone bezel, a bright green GMT hand and polished centre links...

Someone at that store has probably been on a GMT wait list for over 2 years ;). Fantastic acquisition! Congrats!
