Do you think Meteorite dial worth the premium ?

I mean it cost much more

Base on aesthetic
And actual cost to produce

Do you think it is worth ?

We don’t know what it costs to produce and even if we did what would that matter? Those who love it love it. As for me, nah.

To the OP -

Yes - it is worth the premium - and the compliments that you get, will be numerous….
I only have the WG DD in Meteorite and I love it - because of that, I am anxious to get a Daytona and GMT as well, BUT, only when those pieces become available at MSRP……

It's not your average black dial, is it worth it to you to stand out from the crowd, it was to me. Your money your choice.

I really like the meteorite Daytona and Pepsi
I do not like the gray premium, I get it... Its simple supply and demand so Ia m not hating on grays I just am not paying the huge markup. Perhaps a few points but it's way more than that and not worth it to me.

Not sure any Rolex is really worth it, considering cost of materials, but as for the Meteorite if I can afford it I will get one, either Daytona or Pepsi ..

I think most of the meteorite dial Rolex are attractive, especially the WG Daytona on Oysterflex.
That said the upcharge for those dials is absurd with no basis in rarity of the material or workmanship required. There are plenty of microbrands with genuine meteorite dials for less than $1K, it’s Rolex marketing at its finest.

For me it was worth it. I paid the premium at the top of the hype for my GMT Meteorite. Yes it cost me a lot of money and lost a lot of value, but I never worry about that because I’m still in love with it after two years.

It's a meteorite!! Where else are you going to get one.

Yes, it's worth the premium only if it's within budget.

Well , Rolex uses a piece of the gibeon meteorite which is now protected by the Namibian government. As such, I would argue it is somewhat rare.

Whether a meteorite dial is worth the premium really depends on your personal preferences and what you value in a watch.

Ultimately, if you value exclusivity and unique aesthetics, the meteorite dial can be a worthwhile investment. However, if you're looking for value based solely on cost and functionality, you might find the premium hard to justify.

Do you think Meteorite dial worth the premium ?

Rolex does charge a high premium compared to other brands who also offer a meteorite dial.

After all, the allure is having a disc of extra terrestrial material of which no two are alike.

In that vein, no it's not worth the premium unless you're obsessed by space junk that made it theory Earth's atmosphere.

Here is a link to a sampling of brands that incorporate space junk in their watches. https://www.luxurybazaar.com/grey-ma...BoCbh4QAvD_BwE

Cost of materials vs upcharge, no. Is it worth it in terms of looks? Yes.

If the watch fits you and you like the whole package, I would recommend buying it. They are very interesting, quite different dial to dial so you never know what you will get. Best to you!

If I were skilled at successfully picking six random numbers, it would be the first watch I would buy. Literally.

The increase in MSRP for the meteorite dial shows the differential in cost to produce. It's not a lot more. Grey market prices on the other hand--that shows which one is more desirable.

You also seem to see a lot more meteorite dial than blue dial WG GMT. Both seem to be a bit of a rare bird.

What does “worth it” mean? Are any of these actually worth it? Your iPhone is more accurate. It’s worth it only if you like it.

At least for the GMT, I think it's only a few thousand premium MSRP over a non-meterorite dial but the grey difference is like $14k (blue at a slight discount, meteorite $10k over)

At any rate I'm hoping to get a meteorite GMT in the next year or so at retail.
