OP Celebration question

I’m being offered a Celebration in a 36mm but really had my heart set on a 41mm. I’ve had two local AD’s state that the 41mm are very difficult to come by. Is the true or are they blowing smoke up my a$$? I have yet to try the 36mm on, as it should be here in the next week or so. For those that have the 36mm, what’s your opinion on it?

The 36 a nice size. How large is your wrist?

I love a 36mm OP or Explorer. I am 6’1 with a 7.25 inch wrist.

Unless you are superdeedooper special, I would hazard a guess that you wouldn’t be offered a 41 if you pass on this.

Really? Yes, any Celebration dial is hard to acquire from an AD.

Personally, I think the 36 is the best size for a man. Classic.

Take the 36mm and swap it with some cash to a grey market dealer for the 41mm. I would not decline this watch!

You should try it on in store before making a final decision.

Personally the OP 41 is the perfect size for me. I would only go for the 41…

From my understanding the 36 is more in demand and harder to get bc women and men are requesting for this size…

Yes the 41 is hard to come by but so is any size of this dial. You should try on the 36 if offered but I would only want the 41.

Tell your AD, “Great, thanks! This allows me to flip the 36mm Celebration to pay for the 41mm Celebration. How soon can you get that 41mm in for me?”

Take it. Wear it for awhile, wear it to the dealer. tell them you tried it and would really like a 41 still.

Sell 36 and get the one you want.

If you ever get a 41, then you do, if you don't ask then for another 36.

Don’t pass on the 36 it’ll be fine because if you do the call for the 41 just might never happen

Try it on, buy it no matter what.
If you like it keep it, if not flip and make some money.
Use the money and buy the 41 from one of the TS.
If you don’t buy it, you are leaving money on the table.

Get the 36mm. The OP is all dial so I don't think you will be disappointed with it, especially with your wrist size. When the new OP's 1st came out I had asked for the Turquoise either 41 or 36. I was offered the 36 and so glad I didn't get the 41. I also have the Celebration dial

Agree with others, I would get it as you may not come across the 41mm, bit of a risk!

I have the 41mm and love it but that’s because I’m not a big fan of the smaller sizes. However I know many others who are the complete opposite. I’d suggest going to look at it and your mind may be made up when you see it

Wife has 36mm, AD said unpossible i get the matching 41mm. Drat, yet happy wife is a big plus and it is literally her daily beater

Plus it matches her elegant n' sexy traditional girly style

So yeah, 41mm is challenging. Am getting the H. Moser Streamliner Purple Haze soon, so all smiles here :)

I have 6.5" wrist, and the 41 is way nicer on the wrist

The 36 looks like a 34, the dial-bezel-case ratio make it look smaller! its not even close to the look of a day date 36 for example.

Go for 41 IMO

As someone above pointed out, the OP is all open dial and consequently, imo, the 41 looks like a dinner plate on the wrist.

Once you try the 36mm, you'll have a better idea if it meets your expectations or if you should keep holding out for the 41mm.

The 41mm is the one to get. Its rarity is only surpassed by its greatness. Some day that the owners of the 41mm are among the true elites in the world.

I think it would be a mistake to pass on the 36. There is absolutely no guarantee that you’ll ever get the 41 from an AD. If you don’t like it, sell it, take the cash and put it towards a 41 in the Grey marketplace.
