How old does a Rolex have to be before it is considered “vintage”?

Old enough to have a plastic crystal and 4 digits. Otherwise click on the 17 links above

Definition: 'Collectable Vintage' is, not very old at all if you happen to own the piece (and are seeking a sale), and not quite old enough (to be lovely valuable vintage), if you are shelling-out/buying a piece..

According to our World Service documents, "Vintage" pieces are "Watches and calibers that have been withdrawn from the sales catalogue for more than 35 years" and "The models in question are equipped with old calibers." The document lists calibers 650, 10xx, 11xx, 12xx, 13xx, 1401, and 1800.

Regardless how you ended up here, welcome to the vintage section. The watches on this forum are alot more fun/rewarding to own imho.

If you want to own vintage Rolex/Tudor this forum can save you a lot of heartache and $. Read the recent thread about GMT inserts by Springer for example.
