I would not register. This would burn the previous owner's chance of getting another watch from AD. AP tracks this closely, one should be allowed to sell a watch given it wasn't a quick flip. AP does not care if you have 50 grey market AP's registered.

why would anyone care about burning the previous owner's relationship with AP?

Is it not true that the AP Coverage Service only applies to registered owner? It was pretty introduced to “burn” the flipper since everyone who heys a newer piece from grey would want to register and be covered.
