Will pair amazingly well with my platinum CDV and platinum 1921. Can’t wait!

Wish it had the steel-coloured dial.

Should be priced at 30k USD including taxes max. I see VC is riding the wave, good for them!

I saw this and appreciate the looks and the retro vibe of the watch. For me it is to small, movement not to specs for such an expensive watch, water resistance not there and the integrated bracelet will be a nightmare to fit and wear comfortably. And most importantly, too expensive for what it is for me.

222 does not wear small at all even it is spec at 37. I passed the gold as I cannot wear colored metal due to skin tone. The watch is more a sporty dress watch like a RO Jumbo. So 50m WR is not unexpected. The bracelet should not be a concern as it is supple and comfortable to wear. In steel, it should wear better than the gold version which I tried.

My SA is in Geneva and he just “surprised” me and told me he already have me down for one before me asking. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh soon.

Nice to see they released it in steel. Interestingly priced the same as APs Jumbo.

Maybe the minority here, but I wished they made the dial in charcoal/grey and kept it monochrome like the gold version.

Fully agree. I’d be knocking down the door of the local VC boutique.

They have other watches I prefer. I’m sure plenty of takers.

This looks awesome to me. I've registered my interest and contacted the boutique. Pricing here makes sense especially as it's still cheaper than the AP RO Jumbo Extra Thing and funny enough the VC is thinner as well.

The pricing is also easier to stomach than the $74k for the gold version.

Same here, want one! So much prettier (to me) than a Nautilus and a perfect complement to my 16202. Just pinged my SA. Let's see how long this will take.

I love the yellow gold one when they offered it to me but couldn't pull of the color.

The only minor "downside" is the dial color - I already have way too many blue dials. But it looks like a pretty dark hue.

Great release, but add it to the list of unobtainable watches though for most folks. Maybe in a few years when the hype dies down a bit…

My guess is they had this ready to go since the gold 222 was launched but were waiting for sales to slow before releasing the steel version knowing this would be a huge hit.

I quite like the blue, but it does seem like a missed opportunity to go with the grey, which is historically relevant for the 222 and would have set it even further apart from the Nautilus and RO. You're right, it would have made a killer (and coherent) pair with the YG.

Anyway, if I had the means, my name would already be down for the blue.

Who knows.................maybe they are reserving the grey for a square 222 in a couple of years?
