6 to 8 month service at RSC in Dallas

Recently informed by my AD that turn around time at RSC in Dallas for a 10 yr old submariner, that stopped running, is 6-8 months. Is this a “normal” service time?

I recently had a GMT go through there in about a week and a half. So not accurate info from my experience.

Perhaps your AD meant “weeks”, not months. It’s certainly not half a year.

Their wait time has been reduced drastically since they opened the watchmaking training school on the ground floor.

I would have to check and see if that is correct. I just had a Submariner serviced in the fall and it took around 5-6 weeks if I remember correctly. That was at RSC Dallas.

I'd be happy with weeks rather than months. Right now, I'm looking at 11 months for a 1953 Omega to be shipped from Atlanta to the US Service Center and then sent to Switzerland for service and QA checking. I'll be happy to get it back before the first anniversary.

As others have said.
They probably meant to say weeks, not months.
6-8 months would have to be a world record turn around time of the worst imaginable kind for a Rolex.

Where i live, we"ve seen it blow out to as much as 11-13 weeks in the very distant past and that was historically outrageous.

December 2024 RSC Dallas service: Full service sans polish on my watch took ~3 weeks, but that included the Christmas break. I got the completion notification within an hour of them re-opening after New Years so must have been completed a few days before at least.

Overnight Fedex return.

Shipping to RSC via USPS Registered Priority took 3-4 days from Seattle.

Recently sent one of my watches to Dallas RSC. 2 weeks total turnaround time including shipping both ways

No.

Either he cant be bothered to deal with you and tried to put you off or he got his timing wrong … Its WEEKS not Months.
