126710BLRO Jubilee Bracelet Wear

Hi TRF,

I own a 126170BLRO (11/20) and it’s get a lot of wrist time. Almost daily. It’s in incredible shape and has only a few hairlines on the case and as you imagine the clasp is wearing nicely. My concern is that the bracelet seems to be having more and more “flexibility” to it and it’s noticeable looser than years ago. I had it sized at the AD like my others but I’m wondering if the pins need replacing? Also, on the modern Jubilee bracelets only a portion of the links could be adjusted as the majority are solid links.

What are your thoughts on seeing my AD about my concerns and would this be something covered under warranty or more of “wear and tear”
And just buying a new bracelet?

Don’t like jubilee bracelets for this reason. They do look great on some references! But yeah, they don’t wear well.

My DJ has had A LOT of wristtime since I bought it in 2020, still as new “stretch-wise”. Same goes for my BLRO from 2022, but that has had significantly less wristtime.

That’s what makes it comfortable, I’d just roll with it.

If it’s still in warranty, it might be covered, though it is most likely normal wear and tear, especially if you don’t clean the bracelet often enough, or wear it on the loose side. We do need pics to further assist.

It’s well cleaned and not worn loose. The fit is perfect and I very very rarely will use the EZ Link extension. I believe it’s truly just wearing, or wearing out…Hard to get photos of the bracelet but I gave it a quick go. How do you add photos? I use the browser not the Tapatalk app? Any help?
Also, I have access due to frequent travel near one of the Rolex Service Centers, serious question-will they take a walk in if I’m in the area to put their eyes on it?

I have a 22' BLRO on Jubilee and it has relaxed a bit but nothing terrible.

My six year old BLRO’s Jubilee bracelet is still pretty tight. I wear it fairly snug and wash with soap and water regularly. Want to see the picture but unlikely it would be a warranty item.

Are you sure it's the watch and not your wrist that got a little smaller? I personally went down half a link on oyster and a link on jubilee during the past 4 years. I think modern jubilee bracelets are far less prone to stretch.

Doesn’t sound right, if it’s a fairly new watch. No offense meant, but are you certain it’s a genuine Rolex? I only ask, because the bracelet should hold up very well, for many years.

That's surprising because it's a fairly new watch and the modern jubilee bracelets are better constructed than the older ones.
If it does have some stretch, that wouldn't be covered under warranty.

A lot of how a bracelet wears depends on the wearing habits of the owner. For example, wearing too loose, or not keeping it clean.

My experience has been bracelets properly worn and cared for exhibit zero stretch.

I have a 2018 blro jubilee and don’t notice any discernible wear or looseness. I wear it about 30% of the time.

Are you wearing it snug (not uncomfortably so)?

Too loose also causes stretching!

Let’s define snug as a pinky finger fits comfortably under the clasp.

As noted above too loose (like a jangling bracelet) will more than likely cause premature wear.

Of course keeping it clean helps too

Keeping the bracelet clean on a frequent and consistent basis is the best way to minimize any potential stretching in the bracelet.

When you let gunk build up, it becomes abrasive and wears away the pins.

Hi guys, I need a little guidance here on uploading pictures…I’m using the browser version and all I see is an option to add a URL of the image. Not familiar with how to do that.

I keep the watch clean, as mentioned It’s gets probably 3-4 days a week on the wrist. Every other week I use one of those extra soft toothbrushes and some dish soap and give it a wash down and it spends the rest of the week on a winder.

I had it fitted from the AD and it’s not a super clone. New Card from 11/20. It’s not loose or tight on the wrist. It’s more comfortable than my submariner oyster hence the wrist time. Again, my concern is the bracelet definitely feels “looser”
Than years ago and doesn’t have the same feel as it did in days past.

Once I sort out the photos I’m happy to Share a few pictures

Nothing much you can do with the stretch of the jubilee except ask for servicing to replace the replacable links or get new at your cost. I just swap between jubilee and oyster. It’s like a new different look every time

I think that is minimal wear, at best, based on the pic. There may be a 1-2mm difference from original, again from the pic.

Bracelet looks like it has a bit of stretch, but not too bad. By the looks of the clasp, you are a bit rough on your watches. Are you using a keyboard all day? I would just continue to enjoy it, until you really need a repair, or a new bracelet.

That looks like normal wear for a regularly worn solid bracelet. I had an 80's version of the jubilee that I had rebuilt last year - now that showed some wear!

Kat, do you work for Rolex? You seem to have a lot of knowledge and i appreciate your insight. I would say I’m not hard on my watches. I would challenge your comment and say the swirls are common with 1000’s of hours of time on them. It’s a high polished metal clasp so it’s going to get the brunt of wear. What kind of duration are these jubilee bracelets built for would be another question?
