Jack Nicklaus w/ Day-Date on Rubber Strap @ The Valero Open?

Did anyone see Jack Nicklaus' appearance at the Valero Open, with his on-air interview with Smylie Kaufman and Jordan Spieth?

It appears he was wearing his Day Date on a sporty rubber strap? In later footage, the clasp appears to be a small, crown like clasp similar to that on the Presidential bracelet.

Anyone have any insights here? Or have you seen a rubber strap mated to a Day Date like this?

Very different from his normal, loose Presidential bracelet you normally see on his Day Date.

Cool to see Jack - what a national treasure and classy man. I prefer the DD on president bracelet, but good to see Jack enjoying his watch in any way he wants it.

Jack’s rocking that rubber strap Presidential combo? Bold move—looks like a custom job. Love it!

Jack like Paul Newman can wear their Rolex on any strap and it will still be cool
