Hi again, I know the auction has finished but I would really appreciate an opinion on this?

I've had a few tags in the past, the photos make this a hard one, the band doesn't look right at the end links, but then again it looks quite worn, bit of a hard one.

Oh dear. I have to say I bought this watch and have it in my possession. I could take some more pics if that would help?

I wouldn't panic, just need someone with a bit more knowledge on tag's to jump in and have a look, the case and dial look ok, but better photos would certainly help

Thank you! Here are the photos - if there's anything you need to see please let me know. It didn't come with any paperwork unfortunately

I'm not a TAG-Heurer expert - I just wanted to let you know that my wifes TAG developed the same end-link problem after about 5 years. And I'm sure that one came from a real TAG AD as I bought it there myself.

Those closeups are great, that tag looks fine nice looking 1500, I think from memory my brother in law had the white dial on that same watch, early 90's vintage

What end-link problem? Sorry I've never owned a Tag before!

Thank you so much! Wow what a relief!
There's just one thing, the watch seems to be running 12 hours slow - as in the date doesn't correct until lunchtime. Are the winders normally hard to pull out because I'm struggling to get it to budge?

Now that I might have to check with Matt, some do have a screw out winder the same as a Rolex, unscrew first before the time and date can be set, unless its a matter of non quickset, I'll see what I can find out.

Ah! Right well I've unscrewed it and managed to pull the winder out and move the time forward by 12 hours. It doesn't seem to want to screw back in again now but it's not going to be going underwater so I shouldn't think that matters?

There might be a trick to that, it should click back in one click and move freely without changing the settings , thats when you should be able to screw the crown back down.

I will have a play around with that later, at the moment I'm constantly packing up and unpacking it at my office desk which someone's going to notice soon!

Just one more question, as it came without a manual I tried to find one to download online and the closest I could find was for the TAG Heuer “Classics”: Carrera-Monza-Monaco-Targa Florio and the TAG Heuer: Link-Kirium-2000 Classic and Exclusive-6000.

Does anywhere have a full range to download or is the watch too old at nearly 20?

Hi again Eric

I just wondered if you could clarify what the end-link problem you refer to is please? I'm about to give this as a present for Christmas so would like to know before I do.

If you look at the 12 o'clock position, where the last link of the bracelet connects to the actual watch, you'll notice a gap on the left hand side. That gap is the 'end link problem' I was talking about. What I was trying to say was that the watch looked very authentic to me, even up to the wear & tear issues when compared to a TAG that I know is real. Looks like I failed miserably at that.

Thanks for responding - I did get that you believed it to be authentic. I can see what you mean about the small gap - and I'll make the SO aware of it! Thanks again :)
