Icon4 Rolex SUCKS.........

..........money right out of my bank account!!!

Just as I wore the 'new watch smell' out of my beloved GV, (which is here to stay ), my 'strike price' was met on another piece I have been longing for. A nicely packaged (THANKS MARK!!! ) box arrives - I'll spare you the "cardboard striptease," we all know how packages are shipped. Let's start at the good part:

what could it be??? and on we go....

oh yeah baby! A brand-new DSSD, with all goodies, at a price I couldn't refuse. Get to the bad part - wait, THERE ISN'T ONE!!!

obligatory wrist shot (before sizing)!

gonna have to crack this bottle of Tequila open and get ready for the chewing I'm going to get once I get home with the THIRD new watch in a month...

Here is the DSSD being introduced to it's new best buddy!

What a chunk of metal this thing is! I've heard the critiques, and the only one that is somewhat founded, IMO, is the drastic tapering of the bracelet. I wish it was 2mm wider. Other than that - this watch is a STUD. Tall case which wears very comfortably, great readability (even with the highly-reflective crystal), awesome lume. The writing around the dial does not bother me at all, as I thought it would. The glide-lock is BRILLIANT... And for petesake, IT IS A 43MM ROLEX! Just what the doctor ordered! So far, without question, it is a keeper. Now let's see what I'm going to come up with other than "It followed me home, can we keep it please? Pretty please?!"

Don't (unless you're ready to get it) - there's no turning back afterward... You WILL want it, even if you didn't before...

Thanks, buddy! Just wanted to 'pull your chains' with the title - even if I don't like one thing about Rolex, as a brand it has a very special place for me!

Wow!!! Very nice! Congrats!

Not too long ago you were selling almost all your collection because priority has changed. So glad to see that you're back in the ball game or should I say your back on the ring. Nevertheless, very nice 1 2 punch you got there. Again congrats.

Thanks, Rob! Black is slimming though - I'm what's called 'skinny fat'. Look decent with clothes on - but when the shirt comes off, off go the lights

Karis - with that beautiful wrist of yours - I bet you can pull off even the Leopard Daytona!

Thanks man... I figure - if things go haywire again, the collection is liquid. Besides - I need one vice - don't drink (often ), don't smoke, don't gamble - except with my own life by bringing too many watches home!

Photo is from yesterday - but believe me, I have ways to go to be healthy again. Just got to get on it!

Thanks!

Her tiny self... would probably go in circles by being so much heavier on one side if she wears the DSSD
