Pls confirm that my SD is real
I have no reason to believe it's not. Before I bought it from a friend of a friend i took it to a reputable jeweler who had his "watch" guy look at it,and they gave me the thumbs up. Trying to post the best pictures i can. The etched crown is visible with a loop or in the right light. Thanks all I really enjoy the forum.

Well if a Jeweler said it was real why are you asking us, that would be redundant?

Because some of the members on this forum are more informed than most jewelers. Even at Rolex AD's, there have been some that looked at a genuine Rolex watch and have claimed it was fake when in fact it was genuine. And on the other side of the coin, there have been those at an AD that missed a fake and accepted them as a trade in for a new Rolex. I think it was a good idea to check for a more informed opinion.

Just out of undying curiosity...
Exactly what would you have done if we had all said that it is a $20 fake?

Then I was done by my bank who gave me two two dollar bills and said they are a rare find. I still have them. Wouldn't surprise me if I was taken by my bank.

Based on the pics, your SD is the real deal. What makes you think it isn't?

Thanks for all the opinions. To answer a few of the questions: I didn't think it was fake, but after reading the Thread about the Fake DSSD's it made me want to get some more opinions from some the "Super Rolex" experts on the forum. After buying the SD i am now hooked and had to have the one that was really on my with list, the SUB LV. I bought this from a younger guy who bought it because he was a salesman a local AD (he bought it to be more credible when trying to close the sale...needless to say he doesn't work there anymore and couldn't justify having a 5K+ watch so it was my gain) Took this one to a different Jeweler that I have become friends with and he said that it was good enough for him) Also I have both boxes and the card on this one so feeling pretty good about it. Now the problem is i'm addicted to Rolex's and this forum. My wife thinks i'm crazy. Next on my list is a 40MM YM SS/PT

Not trying to scare you
but nobody can really authenticate a Rolex looking at those scans. The bracelet needs to be removed to confirm the ref # and the serial number. Also have a competent watchmaker remove the case back to verify the movement.
