What would you do if your rolex is threatened?
How far would you go if someone tries to mug your rolex?

It's a watch... hand it over, kick the piece of crap in the nuts if I can, if not - lick my wounds and call the insurance company - then the AD!
There aren't many material things worth a knife in the guts or a gun to the head for. -Pete

Just hand it over and smile, because now you can call your AD and buy another one. Maybe the same watch...maybe not.

I was armed 24/7 back in the States. Glock 26 or a .32 Keltec.
I love living in Japan where I don't have to worry about being robbed at gunpoint. |

I'm not ging to mention the word g*n, but I have a little "rib tickler" for the clown who tries to one up me like that. I keep a silver dollar in my left pocket, and something else in the right pocket. The coin will come out first, and take there eye for a split second. That's all I need, and my watch never leaves the wrist.
Who says the guy won't hurt you after he takes your stuff? I cruise around with my right hand in my pocket. |

I try and prevent these things from happening by not wearing it in undesirable locations/situations. If it ever happened, I would give it up.

There would be the odd scenario where i would fight but i have to weigh it up according to how many of them & what weapons they had. The other thing is, you'd probably damage the movement if you hit someone with the Rolex on your wrist... |

50/50 chance I'll be the one leaving with a Pepsi. Not bad. We all donated for the chance to win a GMT IIc 1/300. I plan on being the one with the Rollie in that scenario.
No body's taking my stuff without a problem. Empty wallet or new Rollie! |

My Rolex saved my life
One night an intruder entered my dwelling, intent upon victimizing me in the worst imaginable way. During the commission of the crime, I made a deal with him. If he would leave, I told him, he could take my Datejust with black diamond dial, which I informed him he could probably sell for a decent sum of money. The suggestion distracted him to the point where he finally did leave, my watch and other valuables in his hand. And I survived a nightmare...harmed and traumatized, yes; dead, no. For that I thank my creativity under extreme duress and the watch I wore with such pride.
I have bought many Rolex watches since then, all with gratitude for the real value of this great timepiece we all love. Indeed, it has given me much more time than just the hour and the date. So, what would I do if my Rolex were threatened? I don't know about that, but when I was threatened, my Rolex saved my life. |
