Icon20 Whats a fair price for a gmt master on a jubilee with black and red bezel?

I think I found one for 3500 with box and papers from original owner in good condition. Purchased in 1997

What do you think

You don't say how old it is.......... they used to be fairly common as it was an option, along with the 93150 Sub style bracelet..

They were available all the way up until discontinued but the last few years were mostly seen on the Oyster Bracelet..........

This watch is not from 1997 - Maybe 1990ish.

Look at the tag, I believe the serial begins with an E.

Also this is an older box, appropriate for a late 80's / early 90's.

Yep, it's a e serial number

is that possible that he purchased it new in 1997?
He's a straight up guy so I see no reason why he would make that up.
All the paperwork is in his name purchased from AD

Anything is possible. If he has the original receipt, that will verify it.

I probably misread your initial post, thinking it was a 1997 model. Also there is no mention of papers included w/the watch, only the receipt.

Sorry about that.

Geez it scares me that all these people keep making these impulse buys on ebay. I guess people will have to learn the hard way before they will buy only from our dealers on TRF. I have bought every watch I have ever owned from Alex Maniscalco (Alex Collector). Our forum sellers are tested and prove reliable time after time. I just don't see why anyone would buy anywhere else.

There are legitimate sellers on Ebay. Just have to do your homework.

....and from the sounds, Luigi found a good one!

There are lots of good sellers on eBay. I only like to buy from the original owners.
That way they can tell me everything they did or didn't do. This seller is sending me all the reciepts from when the watch was purchased and serviced.

Just got serviced from AD 3 weeks ago

Well, I went to a collector the other day an saw a dozen GMT's from $3800-12,000. So you can't generalize about the market price. They were made from the late 50's through 2004. You have to factor in the year and condition.
