Shipments outside CONUS

Anyone know why most watch vendors refuse to ship to Canada. Is it a shipment, insurance or customs issue? I regularly purchase a multitude of other items from all over the U.S. without shipping or customs issues.

Most big sellers on ebay ship them anywhere.

I can only tell you I will never buy a Rolex from Canada again! Customs would not let it go thru. I know packages to and from Canada get held up easily in customs. Bad experience for me!

Simply no reason other than it seems to be an American thing most times here ,on EBay and other web sites.Selling to the US full of danger as US has import restrictions on Rolex and can seize them coming in via mail or courier, no such problems importing or exporting from Canada .Canada not in the corporate trademark enforcement business like the US has placed itself. I've bought Rolex from US and returned Rolex to US no problems although I would not a sell Rolex into the US.

I think it is just a convenience issue. Shipping into Canada can be more expensive and then they have to deal with the buyer complaining about the shipping, insurance and brokerage fees. Returns are a hassle too.

"Customs would not let it go thru" Yes US customs are a problem when IMPORTING a Rolex into the US.No problem from Canada customs other than paying duties and taxes.I hope your Canadian seller got his watch back after US customs did their thing.

He did and I got my money back. It was Rolex whose attorneys called me and said no! Customs contacted Rolex of New York who said they would let the watch go back---I thought they were going to confiscate it!!! Crazy.

I can't figure out why the US customs is getting into policing trademarks.Canada customs told me something interesting they say if they see a Rolex be it Authentic or Fake they charge duty as if it is valued as Authentic.If you say fake then they confiscate.
