Daytona upgrade?

Hello all! I have the opportunity to trade my SS White face Daytona and $4000 cash for it's yellow gold counterpart (116528). It's a great deal financially for me but am a little concerned about wearing yellow gold daily as this will be my daily wearer. Anyone made the move from SS to yellow gold and have an opinion? (I'm sure there are a few of you with opinions...:)).

This is personal taste. When I wear my YG watched, I enjoy them to the fullest; but some people do not feel comfortable with it. I would advice to go to AD and try one on and ask YOURSELF if YOU feel ok wearing it daily. There is no right and wrong; it has to make YOU smile. Both are beauties, you can not go wrong either way.

Totally agree with Gerardo!

I've found YG is not for everyone, myself included. On pics I was sure I wanted one, and ended up lusting after a Rootbeer. After two months of ownership, I couldn't bear wearing it for fear of putting another scratch on it. Eventually traded it to someone who appreciates it more than I did.

I suggest you go to an AD to try it out, and save yourself the agony I went through.

The closest I come is my TT sub. I wear it some times, but I like the SS the best, but thats just me.

I have thought about that type of trade.. and I think I would do it.. depending on the dial of the gold Daytona.

It is personal preferance, I have a SS GMT2 and a platty YM and I feel more comfortable with the SS then the YM just cause i feel its low profile...
Its not that I worry about being robbed or anything I just dont like all that flash, saying im more of a jeans and t-shirt type guy.
But this choice is yours theyre both gorgeous watches.

Well IMHO the only upgrade is the price and the gold value, watch uses same movement as SS.

Personal preference and cultural environment..

I see many with gold watches......... .. I don't give it a seconds notice..........

However, I would feel completely out of place with a solid gold watch on my own wrist most of the time...

I'd go all the way Plus Diamonds if you will please.
Just make sure the 18K one is the Original One that goes with the watch when new.

If it is a 116528 and not the earlier model, that is a very good deal from a price standpoint.

I don't wear my 116528 everywhere, and it can be a strong watch, but it is my favorite and I now have to make a deliberate decision not to wear it and give some of my other watches wrist time.
