Something Weird Happened

Hello Friends,

Tonight after wearing my Omega 3570.50 for three days (received the watch on Tuesday) and noticing how it was only gaining 2 seconds per day, suddenly I looked at my watch this evening and it was 1 hour behind. Don't know when this happened or why, but the real time was 9:45pm, but the watch was showing 8:45pm. I know I'm supposed to wind the watch everyday, and I've been doing that except it's been in the evening and not the morning, simply because I forget in the morning. Anyone have any idea what happened? Thanks in advance.

Maybe it needs a new battery.

Seriously, since it's a manual watch, and not a perpetual, I'm inclined to think the power reserve just got low.

Maybe when I wind the watch at night, it's not receiving a full charge, as i end up resting the watch over night.

Could just be a fresh movement needing to be broken in. Then again it could be user error. I'm guilty of setting my watch incorrectly by an hour before...

user error may be the case. it happens to me all the time. usually when my watches have incorrectly set hour hands then it was me just not paying attention. could go on for days before i catch on! i think the more we are into watches the less we actually notice the time? i would merely monitor the watch for the next few days and chances are it's just fine

It happens all the time especially when I decide last minute to wear something else to work. Geese.. the pressure I deal with.. trying to wind a watch and set time in a minute while bleary eyed.

I would not worry at this point. Reset the watch from scratch and check in in an hour.

Set the time, give it a full wind, until it stops. Watch what happens, it should not matter when you wind it, however the chrono feature will draw down your reserve. Enjoy that watch, its the most robust Omega by far in my opinion.

Watch is doing great. I think I wasn't winding the watch enough. I've noticed that you can wind the watch to a point where you can't anymore. So I suspect I wasn't charging the watch enough. Now I wind the watch to the max in the morning and at night (just in case I forget in the morning) and it's running perfect. I'm impressed with this watch and how accurate it is. Thanks to everyone for responding.

Manual winds do have a stopping point compared to autos that have a slipping clutch that feels like you can keep winding on and on.
