233. The 292 is great, but for me, I can't wear day-in day-out because it doesn't fit my outfit.

Hi jdH, it could really depend on what else is in your current Panerai collection >>>
Usually with a question like "This or That?", the person is looking to compliment his collection or buying a 'type' of watch to suit his lifestyle (extreme sports diver, business dressy, travel dual-time, etc......)
So, there's no right or wrong answer here, as I am sure either would serve you very well. Good luck and keep us posted ![]() |

Hard to say cause your talking apples and oranges. Both staples and both dead sexy!!! No wrong answer just get what sings the loudest...or get both eventually. :-)

That's a tough choice. Both are awesome watches. Depends on your choice of complication - you get more from the 233.
Good Luck! ![]() |

i would go for 292, love the ceramic case and its virtually scratch prove, simple movement that can be serviced anywhere.

I would have to go with the 233 as well. Although, I'm not a huge fan of the fang meter, I just love the 1950 case with the domed bezel.

So very different. But I think if you're going the pvd/dlc/ceramic route, I like that look more on the Luminor cases.

Love both watches but if I have to pick one it would be the 233. But is cost a factor? It seems like the 292 non-pig can be purchased for quite a bit less than even a used 233

I'd go 292 myself for the following reasons:
1. Cheaper 2. Black Hotness (I have no ceramic or PVD watches in the stable) 3. Avoid PR issues with 233 4. Rads are more wearable for all occasions IMO |

233 because 1950 case + dome crystal = perfection, can be worn with ANY strap and looks awesome dressed up or dressed down
292 because that ceramic case is so unique and it's blacked out (and cheaper) If I could only buy one PAM, then it would be the 233. If you have lots of watches and are looking for something unique, then I'd get the 292. |

292 was my first Pam, because I like the design of the rads and the more I checked out pictures online, the more I had to have it. I've banged it pretty hard on door knobs and the like. It still looks brand new. I'm very please with the 292.

Is there another model without the 8 day indicator on the front of the dial for the 233? I love the 1950 case + dome crystal combo. Saw someone wore a 217 and i was like wow! Cant get it off my mind.
