If Money No Problem Will You Still Choose Rolex?
Hi guys, if money won't be a problem for any of you will you still buy Rolex or you will move to another watch maker, such as Patek Philippe or Constantin Vacheron?
What will be the one and only Rolex you will choose? ![]() I will be happy just with a Deep Sea wich i belive is enough for me, but i get the Sub C black wich is cheeper and smaller for my 7'' wrist. |

I would probably experiment with high end brands if money was no object - I've lusted after the Lange & Sohne Datograph for quite some time, a truly beautiful chronograph. I wouldn't mind a Patek Annual Calendar either! However, as far as every day watches go, Rolex are pretty hard to beat - tough, rugged, yet beautiful in their simplicity.

Yes. I like my 14060M. It's a good design. And nothing from the more expensive makers beats it IMO.

As far as only having only one Rolex, I would still keep my Sub. I would probably add a few, like a 16710, 16622 and maybe a few vintage. My Rudor isn't going anywhere either.
I would like to try Panerai, maybe a 312 or a 359. AP ROO comes to mind as does a Patek 5070. ![]() |

For one Rolex I would defenetly keep my GMT, I like it's versitility.
If money were no object I would get a dive deeper into Rolex, with various subs and more gmt's and a GV, I would also like to get into Panerai and IWC. If money were truly not in the equation, I would get a Bell and Ross, they are the ugliest things but for some reason I want one. Mind you, I do not really want extremly expensive watches, most of these are between 5-10k(but they are what I want), If I did venture out in truly expensive watches, I would get a Breguet, Can't explain it, just like the way they look. |

If money was no object, rolex would be one of the watches I own. That's a certain, especially a platinum daydate with meteorite dial.
However, AP, PP, Lange, VC and several others would be on my list too..

I'd still buy vintage rolex but the only modern watches I'd buy would be JLC, I would buy them now were it not for fear of the massive depreciation.

Of course I would!
Well, is it a Rolex forum, or what? ![]() ![]() Now, seriously...there are lot of fantastic timepieces that I`m interested with, from JLC and Pathek to Grand Seiko and Credor line, but I`m 100% sure that I would stick to Rolex! Which one? Why not two - for regular wear, YG Day-Date, with fluted bezel and President bracelet, and for dressier occasions, YG Cellini Prince! ![]() ![]()

Rolex is a dependable, durable, Rock solid, and great looking sports watch with a great history and tradition. So yes, yes, yes.
I have a couple other brands currently and wouldl ike to have a couple of more which are not Rolex, however I will always probably have more Rolex than any other brand. |

I definitely would still buy a Rolex. I would add a PN Daytona, a Double Red Sea-Dweller, a GMT Gilt Dial and a Steve McQueen Explorer.

I'd definitely stay with the Rolex brand
I would add a few more Rolex watches to my collection and then look at what the other brands had to offer |

I've owned a number of other high-end brands but more often than not I've run into problems with them mechanically or part quality-wise. Not acceptable IMO. Rolex sports models are the only watches that have given me zero problems and on top of that I don't think you can beat a Submariner or 16600 Sea-Dweller as a daily wearer.
Just look at Larry Ellison, CEO of Oracle, he is one of the richest men in the world and an avid sportsman, he sports a non-thrill Submariner on his wrist. |

I would still own Rolex. Just as I "could" afford more expensive cars, I "could" afford a higher price point watch... but I don't; Rolex' durability and performance suits my lifestyle/needs. I prefer vintage and Rolex tops my list esthetically. Rolex just seems "comfortable" and I think it "suits me". I am happy with the fashion/style image Rolex conveys. I will someday break down and acquire a Patek but I have yet to find one that really "blows my hair back".... |

No question I would still buy rolex. To build a solid vintage rolex collection with provenance it would take atleast a 100k or so. And that's just getting started with the PN 6239, 1665 DRSD, 1680 Red and 1655 explorer there are so many variations and more models to pursue like comex, milsub, gilt dials, big crown, no crown guards, bond sub, and on and on. The ones mentioned are just the beginning!
Like I always say Rolex makes the best sports model watches, when I want to own a watch with complications then I'll get a patek or Breguet but I don't see that happening anytime soon because I am not rich :( |

If a frog had wings....
If suddenly, I had so much money that I could buy watches like I buy socks now, I doubt much would change as to my preference for Rolex. I would probably explore more closely the Patek Calatrava line, but honestly, having done as much research on watches in the last, say, four years as I've done, I am convinced that Rolex is the watch for me and to go even further, the two Rolex watches that I have are perfect for my needs for the rest of my life. Still watches do fascinate me and if money were no object, I might be inclined to buy haute horologerie just for the pleasure of owning them. However, I'm enthusiastic about Rolex because they build such superb, robust watches that so perfectly meet my needs that I may never seriously consider another watch, much less another brand for as long as I live, regardless of financial issues.

I wan´t one, but 40k is too much at the moment ![]() |

I would still buy Rolex.
For my first few WIS years I did not have any Rolex pieces. Since my first piece, the brand has really grown on me, and it still is. This has nothing to do with price/money, but more with design, function and "feel" on the wrist. Then again, I only go for "SS with no ice" - anything more and my hobby would become too expensive for me! Great day to all ![]() |

First of all if money was not a factor then I would take care of all my family members and then my wife and her side of the family. I'd give them each enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. Now for me my life style would change(let's be realistic)somewhat. I would buy a Platinum DayDate for myself and then buy watches from other brands and Vintage Rolexes.....

Does the Rolex fit?
In my case I've got some nice watches from AP, Lange, and PP, but having recently sold my 16710 and instantly regretted it, I'm now waiting delivery of my new 116710. A watch that fits my work and lifestyle. Regardless of how much money I have I don't see a better option for someone who is "on the bus" crossing timezones on a regular basis.

I would probably experiment a little with some watches a lot more expensive, however, right now I do not see how I could abandon Rolex.

Sure, money no object, I'd snatch up a Breguet, A. Lange & Sohn, Glashutte Original, PP to name a few.
But, I'd still hold on to my Exp II white face if/when it all came tumbling down! |
