Omega Seamaster 8500 - good price?
My local AD got in a brand new PO with the 8500 movement, ceramic bezel, etc. I tried on the 45.5mm and it is spectacular. The price was $6200 US but he said it could be mine for $5400 + the 7.775% sales tax. Is this a good deal or should I look elsewhere, like on this site?
He did say it comes with a 4 year warranty from Omega. |

I recently purchased the 45mm PO with the 2500 cal movement for $2750 out the door. If you don't have to have the new movement and ceramic dial, I would look at those for half the price of the new PO. Either way, you can't lose................great looking watches!!!!!

13% is NOT a bargain or even a decent discount for Omega.

Well, 2 AD's offered me 25% off on the POC with the 9300 movement. So, I can't imagine the 8500 PO's being any different. Just need to ask the right AD I guess.

not sure im drinking that kool aid as discount is generally % off MSRP. the taxes vary in different states countries etc rant aside. 13% on a new PO 8500 based on popular opinion lately seems to be good although i still think 20% is possible off MSRP of course! |
