Depends on your haggling skills and wether you have history with the ad.
Your welcome. |

Figure out the discounted and tell 'em what you are willing to spend right now, say 20% off of MSRP.
It's always worth a shot!

Thanks. 20% seems to be about the best any AD's are willing to go. I have no history--first Rolex for me. Thanks.

Did anyone really ever get 20% off at their AD? I was just at the AD in Exton and he offered me a free watch winder and maybe a $500.00 coupon off of a ladies Date Just marked $10,250.00. Rose gold and stainless 2 tone with a regular dial not a diamond or mother of pearl dial. Gray market Alan Furman is going to give you what 15 or 16%.
I just ordered one off of SwissLuxury on a special sale at 22% off MSRP. |

Hi... I'm wondering the same myself. In the market for a new DSSD (Deepsea) I see a great difference in price ranges for a new watch between the AD and what you can find online. I want to pay a fair price but don't want to be taken to the cleaners... Any advice would be appreciated.

If you're willing to get a gold or two-tone model, then you can get a much bigger discount all day long. Good luck! |

Buy from one of our trusted sellers. David SW has one for sale right now slightly used for $8575. Still has most of the stickers on it.

Agree with one of the previous posts. I have a great relationship with my AD, acquiring numerous pieces overs the years and wouldn't budge with any SS models aside from throwing in small freebies here and there. Although 10% to 20% for any non-SS pieces. Good luck.

Although now, I will never buy from an AD when we have the trusted sellers here on TRF. Edit: The SS Daytona I would not expect a discount. |

You will get a variety of answers on a Forum.. Keep in mind that it is a forum of unknowns.. many will give you advice, but have never actually owned or shopped for one at a Dealer and others will just re-play what they have heard..... Rolex has never been a "standard discount" watch like other brands...

I offered $7700 for a BNIB TT Blue Submariner (not ceramic) and my AD said yes.

Saying you will never get a discount on any sports watch is plain wrong. |

I was just in Singapore... And at an AD... I spent quite a bit of time there over several days. They were going to give me 12% off MSRP on the DSSD... Plus I could get the tax refund taking it out of the country. However... In the end i did not get it...Too stressful as I would be bringing something over $10k into the US... Plus the poor exchange rate and fees with my credit card would zero out the savings. I know many people just send the box back and wear the watch into the country. I've been stopped before at customs and it's no fun (and I don't have a good poker face)

I would expect 10% minimum on all watches except the Daytona....even more on precious metal models or I would go to another AD.
An AD demanding list on any watch sitting in a display case is insulting to me. I've even special ordered watches (Yes, s/s models) and got a discount. |

usually 8-10% ( some states with super high taxes the dealer will let you off w.o paying the tax)
toureanu has 20% off next purchase of what you finance and you get free winder if you do their financing. ( which i think is ok if you do not have all the money up front ) it never hurts to walk away from a bad deal if you think the discount is not reasonable enough. |

My "guy" can usually get me 30% off on the basic Rolexes, not the subs, daytonas, etc.

To the OP, if you really want to buy from an AD then shop around and make offers and be prepared to pull the rigger when your price is met.
Maybe take a trip to a "target rich" environment...ie...large inventory and haggle away someone, somewhere needs to move a watch. |

Rolex seems to be going to a new model in the US of mostly selling through the Rolex TWC boutiques with the idea that there is no discounting to help control pricing. However as previously mentioned they will give you a gift certificate for 20% of the purchase price if you finance and its a 0% rate so no harm. However, your ID that you bring with you MUST have your current address or you need to bring a passport, otherwise, the financing option isn't possible. I just bought a ExpII 42 from TWC and would have financed (and immediately paid it off) just to get the 20%, but we just moved and my license had the old address. Very frustrating, so please use this tip if you go there.
