Omega mesh bracelet question

Hi guys.

I bought a new old stock omega mesh bracelet (old style) model 1380/237. I am going to put this on my 42mm PO 2500. My question is what spring bars will sit this bracelet to the case? Would I be able to use the spring bars from my PO bracelet? Thanks guys!!

I am not sure about that exact mesh, but I had an OEM mesh from Otto Frei and it fit perfectly with the spring bars from the bracelet.

Good luck with that Rochester. Your friend, Buffalo.

Thanks for the reply. Are you by chance a Bills fan? The last seven weeks have been killer, today's game against Miami was painful to watch (not that the last six were any better). Go Sabres!!! hahahaha

No dice on the Bills

I stopped watching the Bills 25 years ago.

I went to my second ever game this year. It was fun but, I would just rather tailgate at brunch!!

But from what I am hearing...they aren't doing so well. Great start, tough finish. I live right at Elmwood - so when they are doing good, you can hear people cheering all down the street. I like it when they are winning, just choose to not follow to watch them fall.

Cheers!

Rob

Might get another one. Missing it more than I thought I would.

Yes mesh fits with original spring bars.

If you are in USA search Otto Frei

My mesh is on the way, I will post pics as soon as I get it. Rob, your old one looks incredible, I love it. I have read that you should not use the original spring bars with the mesh bracelet. The spring bars that come with the standard bracelet are 19mm, and the bars used for rubber, leather, and mesh are 20mm. Apparently the mesh and leather/rubber need longer spring bars bc there are no end links and the bars have more room to flex. This is what I have read online and what was confirmed at my AD. Anyone with further info please feel free to chime in.

Oh and to Stusrt, you can find the old style (pictured above) for $300-$400 new, and the new style with the ratcheting clasp (brilliant design) for about $1k. I personally prefer the old style because the springbars are exposed, where on the new one the spring bars are encased by metal.

As I said in a previous post, if you are in USA, search google for Otto Frei. They carry everything Omega.

Yes, Otto Frei has an incredibly large inventory, though you can find better prices if you look around...
