Serial Number Vs. Value
While looking for information on my Rolex, I noticed someone trying to sell one. They specifically called out that it has an "S" serial number. Is value affected by the serial number? If so how? Thanks

The letter prefix to the serial number gives an approximate date for when the watch case was made (but that could be a long time before the date the watch was actually sold). The prefixes are not in any order. Here's a link to a site that gives details

Welcome to the Forum, your question is not easily answered, serial numbers give an approximation of when the watch was made...basically a year range and of course a newer watch is usually more money then and older watch but not always the case. As many vintage watches are now worth a lot of money like the Red subs. The more you come around and learn the more pricing will make sense.....
