I'm afraid I'm not a fan of that JLC, therefore my vote goes to the GMT-IIc!

I would go with the GMT2C just for the versatility. Dress up, dress down, the GMT2C is good for everything. The JLC I see more suitable for outdoors and I think it would look odd with a suit...just my 2 cents.

vote...

I am not a fan of the busy dial on the JLC, and I am a huge fan of the GMTIIC. The looks and function of the GMT IIC bezel are a huge selling point for me, and the easier to read dial on the GMTIIC makes it a very nice watch...

The dial on the JLC is simply too busy...to the untrained eye, it could pass as a trendy fashion watch. Definitely go with the GMT: clean, classic, perfect. JLC makes many other attractive watches though...this just isn't one of them, IMO.

Both ( am I allowed to say that?)

The JLC MC DC is a fine piece. Being made out of grade 5 titanium, it is light. It goes well and is comfortable on either the rubber strap or a suitable leather strap (yes, it can defeat the purpose of being a divers watch... But how many actually dives... That's why you keep the rubber strap on the side )

The moving pulsation blue bit at 6 o'clock and the crown/pusher are pretty cool too.

Not a fan of the articulated rubber bracelet. It's either strap or the titanium bracelet combo for this one IMO.

Now, the 116710LN - what an I say? It is a handsome piece. Looks great and wears well. It'd be probably as heavy as the JLC MC DC on straps.

You won't see many of the JLC MC DC in the wild, but the 116710LN will have a better resale value, not sure if that is important to you.

I have a couple JLC's, but in this case my vote goes to the GMTIIC. In my opinion the GMTIIC is one of if not the best SS Sports watches out there today.

You're comparing chrono and a GMT... Between these two, I'd go with the GMT, but if you compared the Rolex GMT with JLC GMT Diver, the answer would have been different.

JLC has some great watches, but this one wouldn't be my choice!

I had both, would prefer the GMT if I kept one of them. Not JLC's best offering.

I'd like to own a JLC but the GMT is the classic. Also, IMO, Rolex is the undisputed king of sport/dressy watches with the longest history of building watches that are tough and wearable in msot situations. For me, JLC is a super movement builder that has a long history creating fine-quality, complicated and very good looking dress watches. JLC's sport watches are not their strong suit.

9/10 times I'd say JLC.

This is the 1/10 though.

It's not an apples to apples comparison IMO. One looks like it's really built for diving and the other is a dressy sports watch. Regardsless, between the two my choice would be the GMTIIC.
