Daytona Issue
Not sure if this has been discussed previously so here goes the problem which I am facing.
Acquired a new Daytona recently and observed that the watch didn't start after 25-30 round of manual winding. Watch only start ticking after I start the chronograph function. Initially I thought it could be the case of the watch being new and hence not "broken in". So after the watch has drained its power reserve, I manual wound it again to see if it can start ticking. After 30 rounds of winding as well as shaking the watch, nothing happened... watch only started ticking after I activated the chronograph function Only saving grace is such that the watch is tracking time well within COSC standards. Did anyone have the similar issue with the Daytona? Would you bring it to RSC for inspection? Thanks in advance

It is a mechanical machine. The action you describe is normal from time-to-time..

Not to state the obvious, but are you looking at the correct "hand"? Just checking if you are looking at the seconds dial and not the chrono hand.

My Daytona's second hand starts moving after about 12-15 turns. My 2-C needs close to 30 turns to get going.

Patrick, please keep us updated. I had my new DSSD regulate at the RSC here in Singapore and they did a great job, just to let you know. My experience is that new watches take a bit to get started, so I would give it some time before any concern.

try running in your new watch for a week or two so that the lubrication can spread well and even throughout the movement
it should be fine by then otherwise seek help from rsc |
