Which Rolex to take to the Caribbean ?
I thought I had this figured out thanks to some fine friends elsewhere. But now the wife is making out the list...
We're off for a cruise to the western Caribbean in November. We'll fly three thousand miles from the west to east coast, board and head out to explore jungle hide aways, Mayan ruins, cruise the high seas, attend formal dinners, snorkel in clear blue seas, and para-sail along the beach. I'm only taken' one watch.... I've narrowed it down to one of these.... But which one would fit the bill ? I need help: ![]() |

My first thought was take the GMT - but with all that adventure mixed with formal dining - I say take the ND Sub. Be Bond on this trip.

Seriouly, Larry....take the black dial Exp-II. You never have to worry about the fixed bezel turning away from any previous setting....and you get the advantage of dual time too!!

The no date. You're on vacation so you don't need it and shouldn't think about it. Plus, if you don't know the date you won't count down the days until you have to get back to real life.

I would wear the Sub Date. Mine went with me to Alaska cruise and never thought about other watches at all.
We are taking the kids to Disney one month from today and I am going to wear my GMT. Next March we have a "Family reunion cruise" to Caribbean and Mexico, and my SD WILL be with me. You are going on a "Cruise" ....ocean, sea,beaches...think about it...Oh, make sure to have lots fun, no matter which watch you end up picking... ![]() ![]() |

Personally, I would take more than one.
The GMT for sure (different time zones), the dateless sub for the snorkling or diving that you will end up doing and finally the explorer for all the exploring you plan to do. ![]() ![]() |

Larry, you're probably not going to get invited to dine at the Captain's table.

Hmmm. Sounds like either ND Sub (for the relaxed, casual look) or GMT II (for the sport look).
