Reporting fakes to ebay

As we all are trying to eradicate fakes from flea bay what is the best explanation when reporting an item... as in what should a person write when submitting a report?...

Thanks

It should be stated that the item is counterfeit and the reasons why you believe this is the case. e.g. the dial fonts are incorrect, the engraving is incorrect etc.

The majority of ebay staff do not know all of the products that are listed, they need as much info as can be given to make their decision easier, don't forget if they pull an item the seller has the right to question why it has been pulled. .....

I was under the impression that they had a person (or persons) on staff who has the knowledge to assess the reports of counterfeit Rolex watches and who takes the appropriate action.

If staff are not aware of what is and is not an authentic Rolex, then telling them that fonts and magnification are wrong or that the engraved rehaut is askew would be of no help to them at all.

...hmmmm...

...as Michael has stated, you MUST support your contention that an item is counterfeit/significantly misrepresented.

...the more FACTS about an item...the better.

...unsubstantiated reports receive little, if any attention.

I discussed with the Ebay legal department to try to ban a seller who was constantly selling the same fakes under different usernames. I send them a file with all the fake items + info. They didn't do anything, as they just don't care.
