if you are replacing Panda - go for SS 44mm. If you can keep the panda than add FC.

AP steel or carbon
thank you for the Quick Answers.
But there is one thing that everyone knows .... A rumor reached my ears, From a trusted source... that AP Plan to announce in January, They stop producing the 44 mm carbon, And in its place will be a ceramic model, Which certainly will hurt demand od the 44 carbon, Moreover, I think is too dark, Speaking of which ...What do you think if any of the two Third will win And buy the ROYAL OAK LEO MESSI LIMITED EDITION steel 26325TS.OO.D005CR.01. What do you think about this model? Is it wanted? http://www.audemarspiguet.com/images..._D005CR_01.png |

Hi Shay, do you mean that AP will produce a full ceramic model in 44mm to replace the current carbon 44mm? I find that kind of interesting as I'm about to get a carbon 44mm soon

It would be a bit odd to discontinue a watch after 1 year, no? As for ceramic, is there even another watch that is full ceramic??

Lol. Not going to happen on a new line Shay, on the other hand I have a few 44mm so I hope your rumour is true.

I sure hope they keep the current 44mm carbon. Love the look and feel. I'm considering the 44mm ROO SS or carbon as well. I'm leaning towards the carbon but wonder if the SS is more of a timeless design/material and will be more desirable in the future. |

Didn't AP spend a lot of time and resources perfecting the FC case fabrication? It would be a surprise for them to abandon it so soon. It's a great looking material that seems to perform very well. I do wish they would make a 42 mm FC though.

Did not want to start a new thread. In the same boat now choosing between the 44mm SS or the 44mm FC. Bear in mind I have the 44mm RG. Please help me as to which you would choose and why, tnks!

Just picked up my 1st AP, its a FC bumblebee and chopped in my DSSD for it, I have to say the quality of the carbon is outstanding and the ceramic bezel compliments it perfectly, striking and classy !, although I liked the DSSD, I don't miss it one bit, will post pics soon

I like the overall look of the SS/RG better - they seem more three dimensional to me. However, I also like the feel and lightness of the carbon material....you cant go wrong with any of those three(4, actually the platinum 44mm is da bomb as well)
Make sure you try them on for size. They wear big! ![]() |
