Got a gift for myself (116610LV)

Hi guys.

This one is a gift for myself. After getting a new job, which has been my dream, I bought this for myself in Edinburgh. I was in Glasgow for a job interview. Thanks to the Watches-of-Switzerland for their assistance.

I’ve just got amazed with the watch. This is the first Rolex I’ve ever own. Probably I’ll keep it forever, because green shines so beautifully. For those wondering, before this watch, I owned a regular Seiko.

There are 3 green subs for sale at ADs in Istanbul as well, but the price is about $2,500 higher than in the U.K. So, I chose to buy it from the U.K.

I bought a Raymond Weil for my mom at the dealer as well. I don’t have so much knowledge on Raymond Weils, so I don’t know the model name. I just put a picture below.

And excuse me that I am not so good at photographing, so try to enjoy the terrible photos...

And Raymond Weil for mom;

Nice watches,

I spend many school holidays in Edinburgh in the early 60's.

I remember Arthurs Seat, the Scott Monument, Princess Street and walking through the flower gardens with my grandmother.

I'm happy you enjoyed your visit to Scotland.

Congratulations!

I got my 14060m from the WoS on Princes St and found their service very good, especially David the manager. Did you have a look in Laings just round the corner and Hamilton & Inches on George St when you were there? I tend to drop into all of them whenever I'm in Edinburgh and have been really impressed with Laings lately.

Nice to hear you liked Edinburgh. I was born and dragged up in that fair city but since I left at 18 I've been everywhere, man! I'm now back in scotland but it still feels like going home whenever I visit Edinburgh.

Thank you guys...

Grumpy Badger. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to look around in Edinburgh after getting my watch. I had to go to Glasgow quickly to catch a guy to buy a gaming steering wheel for my laptop. So, I hopped on the returning train real quick.

Yes. I realized that, after I read so many threads on LV and saw lots of pics. And I saw the same, when I got one on hand in real.

You know what, I got out from the opposite exit of the station and walked waaaayy so long to get to the store. And I was walking on store's side of the avenue and I bumped into a roadwork, so I had to get around it and it almost took half an hour to get to the store, whereas my return to the station took less than 10 minutes...

the roadworks are Edinburghs new tram project and are the biggest White Elephant known to man! Glad you caught the train though.

Yeah, I saw it. They were building it real nice. Your train system is amazing. Your city and I think whole Scotland is beautiful. You are lucky people, do you know that?.

And the people in Scotland are so polite and well-dressed. People care fashion there.

Congrats on the sub. It is a great watch. I got one a few months back and haven't taken off yet. Every time I look at the watch the color looks different. It is like I am wearing a new watch every day
