WatchTime December 2012
Not sure if you've seen it yet, but wanted to mention that the new December issue of WatchTime is out and features the new extra-thin 39MM AP Royal Oak. Mine (magazine...unfortunately not an AP) just arrived in the mail. Great shot on the cover and a 15-page review including a disassembled view of the movement. Lots of other great info and articles...even has an article on Arnold's AP collection

It's definitely a thicker issue this time. They have a 59-page sports watch report...been sitting here enjoying the read. It caught me by surprise when I got home and saw it since it hadn't popped up on the site yet. A nice surprise though.

I subscribed for the sole reason of getting it earlier than the news stand. Ugh. This is my first issue and have not gotten it yet either. Oh well.

Hmm.
Looks like the accuracy of the super thin AP on the cover leaves a lot to be desired. Spendy critter as well! |

I have not seen the article yet but it would be hard to want a 20K watch that does not keep time well. A little bit of a downer to hear since this was at the top of my wish list!

Watchtime gave the watch a 4 out of 10 for Rate results. The greatest deviation of rate was 20 seconds per 24 hours.
Wonder how the 15300 stacks up? I have not given up on that watch - yet. |
