White Gold GMTIIC

I have not heard anyone predict this for Basel 2013, but it is something I would really like to see. I can't imagine buying it anytime soon, if it did come out, due to the price it would cost, but I would love to see it.

And to me, it makes sense. They have it in Yellow and it is stunning. They also have the Smurf for the Sub in WG.

That watch, while stunning and I totally want one, is a hardcore sport watch. The precious metal is amazing, but one can make an argument that it does not make all that much sense. A diving watch the is relatively easy to ding up.

BUT.......for the GMT, being a sport watch, but also a watch for the professional traveler, it makes a ton of sense. Under the radar, but still a precious metal sport/professional watch.

I think they would have to make it special somehow, you know, some kind of different dial or something. I imagine they could come up with something awesome.

And I personally would love to see it. Just my thoughts.

They do already have a white gold GMT, albeit with a gem set bezel. I think the issue would be differentiating it from the stainless steel model - if they kept the green hand, they would have to have a green bezel and that would make it look too similar. A black bezel would be out of the question. A blue one would make it look like the WG Sub. Red ceramic could look really odd unless it was a deep, almost blood red. If you're going to splash out £20k + on a watch, you wouldn't really want it to look like anything else in the range, and I think that would be a challenge without making it look odd

holy cow. now we are talking!!!

can you imagine how many people would be getting second mortgages on their homes to pick that one up!!!!

with so many people wanting the ceramic pepsi bezel that would be a HUGE win for Rolex.

I'd prefer a ceramic root beer.
