Boston GTG - March 2, 2013

So it seems we have had quite a few requests about wanting to do a Boston GTG recently. While the weather remains freezing, it’s never too early to get a head start in putting one together for spring. Currently, we have a date of Saturday March 2nd planned out so hopefully it will be a little warmer by then.

We haven’t done one since last year and we would certainly love to get a few fresh faces added to the group. This will be our 3rd GTG since we began. In the past, we met up for food and drinks and of course made the rounds to the different AD’s around Boston. There is no right or wrong in getting a successful GTG started so we’re open to ideas.

Anybody is welcomed and you don’t have to own a Rolex to be included as long as you are passionate about watches

Great guys! Thanks to Clark for making some great suggestions, so here's the plan right now for that day :-)

Meet up time: Saturday March 2, 2013 2:00pm

Location: M Bar & Lounge inside the Mandarin Oriental on 776 Boylston Street, Boston, MA. http://www.mandarinoriental.com/bost...ar-and-lounge/

Plan:
- Meeting at M Bar & Lounge for a few drinks or snack. It's a great location where we can sit down and chat about watches for a bit!
- Around 3:30, make our way to Ross Simons in The Prudential: Fantastic Rolex selection!
- The head down Boylston to Lux Bond & Green: Patek & Rolex
- Last stop at Shreve Crump & Low on Newbury St.
- At 6:30pm, dinner at Maggiano's.

Dinner: 6:30pm dinner at Maggiano's....we can do family style or ordering individually....let's hear your suggestions!


We are going to need a final headcount when we get closer to March 2nd before we make reservations at Maggiano's, so please let me know a week before whether you are sure to attend :-)

I sent Shreve's an email already to notify them but haven't done so with Lux yet. I can send the a quick email to Jack Winer or if you want to contact your buddy Steve. I haven't received any solid confirmations from the guys yet about dinner. Enjoy the rest of your vacation my friend and let me know when you get back.

I am struggling with what to wear. My best/favorite is a meteorite Daytona, but I just acquired a long sought after PAM233 Dot that has not left my wrist in a few weeks. Its a good problem to have!

I could bring a Pelican case with a few pieces and lug it around all day.

Does anyone plan to bring stuff or just to wear one?
