omega speedmaster
Does anyone know:
1) Is this speedmaster discontinue? rare? 2) How much is preowned for this watch without box and paper? Someone is offering to sell me at US$1110 for this watch without box and paper. Is it a good deal? Your help will be very appreciated. |

Teo.
That is one good looking watch.. Speedmaster day-date, stainless.. They are not "rare" but I'm sure many more black face Speedys exist New they go for at least 3-4 grand.. Prices on Omegas are going up...quickly... What year is it..? Have you handled it ? Just like Rolex, there are replicas around so take a close look at it... Box and papers are not always kept with a watch purchase so that should not be a deal breaker.. Especiall if you like the watch. If real....I would be tempted...

The model is speedmaster 3521-30. The seller is willing to meet up at omega service centre for verification.

No, that model hasn't been discontinued and is not rare. The price seems OK, depending on condition. The fact they are willing to allow you to verify it's authenticity is nice. Good luck.

Recently a gray market dealer offered to me similar model,Omega Speedmaster Date, also without box and papers. The watch was in very good condition, not mint, but with perfectly timekeeping. His last price was 650 Euros, which is around 900$.I didn`t bought it(instead of it I bought vintage Tudor Date),but I think that that was a good price.So,1100$ is a good price for Day Date if the watch is in overall good condition.
Anyway,it`s a great watch,definitely keeper. |

The "reduced" speedy is still a good deal for $1100.
Definitely take him up on the authentication though. The fake ones are surprisingly close to the real thing.

I saw one today at a store. I much prefer it over the Daytona, and having day/date/month is awesome. MSRP is something like $2,800.

Meet him and take $900 with you. I'd bet you'll be going home with a new watch
