Well TRF I have submitted my paperwork to exit the Army to attend Law School. I will exit with 10 years, 3 deployments, great duty stations, and a TON of experience. I went from Enlisted to Officer, and got a masters degree for free.

I'm keeping my TRF name as it has a double meaning. I entered the Army in 20(03) and my current Pay Grade is an 03, a CPT.

So, to wrap it up, it was a pleasure serving the people of the United States, and if we go to war again, and I'm able to serve, I will.

I will not be joining the reserves because I want all my weekends.

Thanks for your service. Good luck in the future and don't forget to make a copy of your medical records and file a claim with the VA. You deserve to be compensated for any disabilities you may have incurred while on active duty. See a Veterans Service Officer or visit the local VA regional office. if you still have the chance I recommend to attend any transition class the Army may provide, the VA reps are normally there to brief about your benefits.

I did 11 years six months and also left the service an O-3 (Navy LT). BUT.... your departure is more envious then mine. See, The Navy and I didn't agree on some things so my leaving was... less then amicable.

Oh hell, I got kicked out! But you sir, I congratulate again.

good luck with law school. with your military experience, you will be much better prepared to handle the rigors of first year than those coming straight from college.

My nephew recently left the Army. He is a West Point grad and served two tours in Iraq. He also was planning law school but a BIG company made him a fantastic offer so he took it. Good luck to you in your future endevors.
