Yep, I actually have two shoes from that shoemaker. Great bang for the buck, and they also do a decent job with Cordovan as well. However I would highly recommend taking a look at Alfred Sargent via the following websites:
A http://www.afinepairofshoes.com/ or www.pediwear.com. You can also purchase Carmina at the following website: http://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/ And here's another website where you could do some further research in regards to Carmina, Alfred Sargeant and many other brands: http://www.styleforum.net/f/5/classic-menswear

The good thing with shoes like these is that with the proper care they can be re-soled a number of times and they can last a good long time indeed. I'm including a link to a thread where they do nothing but talk about shoe care. This should answer any and all questions you might have: http://www.styleforum.net/t/228153/t...als-photos-etc However here is a really basic rundown: 1. Shoe trees - This is a must and should be used whenever the shoes are not on your feet. This helps to keep the shoes straight and wisk away moisture. 2. Recovery time - You should never wear good shoes more than one day at a time. This will allow the leather some recovery time and let the shoe trees wisk away the moisture that your feet left behind. 3. Damp Rag and shoe brush. It's best to wipe off your shoes once you take them off with a damp but not wet rag to get the dirt and grime off before you store your shoes. Brush them off directly after that. 4. Dust Bags - Most real good shoes come with these. Use them, and place your shoes in them when not wearing. This will keep dust off your shoes. I tend to place mine in them a couple hours after taking them off, this way the shoes air out a bit first. 5. Wax and or cream - when it comes to polish, less is more. Only do so as necessary. Some will use only one or the other while some will use a combination of both. Some use cream on everything but the toe and heel as wax is required if you want that true spit or bull shine. 6. Cleaner and or Conditioner. Cleaners are good for removing and preventing wax or cream build-up. Conditioner for keeping the uppers or leather properly conditioned. Some will generally buy a product which does the both of these at the same time. Hopefully I have been of some help. Enjoy your new shoes. Cheers, Dan

Certainly, as long as they are not being crushed.

Just signed up for this recent MTO through Skoaktiebolaget.
It's a Jumper boot in Dark Cognac Cordovan. The actual color will most likely be darker than these pictures.

Thank you sir.
It's not too late, you might be able to get in on the MTO if you wanted. They won't actually order the boots until Monday. To get in you would have to pay 50% up front and the remainder when the boots are ready. They probably won't be ready until about October. The actual price is very reasonable considering these are Cordovan. However as I said the actual color of the boot will probably be darker than the picture as Dark Cognac was requested, but there are no guarantees with Cordovan.

I just picked up my first pair of MTO boots at skoaktiebolaget here in Stockholm, took only 6 weeks to get them. Thanks to Dan(dddrees) for letting me know they existed! I like to be able to try out shoes before buying. They are basically a regular Carmina model but without the seem on the toe. Also seen next to a pair of Crocket and Tubbs(or whatever they're called...

I don't recognize the second pair, although they look a bit like the Edward Green Galway. It's possible they are Crockett & Jones. However as far as I know Skoaktiebolaget doesn't sell Crockett & Jones. Where did you say you saw them?

Those button boots are nice, and I actually have given some thought to getting something like that. I believe they are increasing their selection of Bonafe. Someday I'll probably want to get something from this shoemaker. They had a Burgundy Chukka which I would have gotten but by the time I tried it was too late to get one in my size.

I picked up a pair of Cordovan Carmina shoes on sale when I was on holiday in Spain and I think the quality is great and on par with more pricey brands.

Just received a few more additions to the family.
The first one is a Jumper in Cognac Cordovan and a Snuff Suede Chukka.

Very nice shoes. How are the prices? I have trouble buying a pair of shoes over $1000. My usual price range is 200-800.

You can either purchase them directly from the shoemaker which I have yet to do and I understand can be more difficult as they are not known for their customer service as much as their craftsmanship, or a third party vendor which I highly recommend. You might want to check out the following: http://www.carminashoemaker.com/web/...r.php?lang=eng I am neither associated with nor do I benefit in anyway from the following websites. However I have purchased and have been rather pleased when doing so from the following vendors: http://www.skoaktiebolaget.se/collections/carmina http://epauletnewyork.com/collections/footwear/Shoes You may want to check out the following user website as well. For general user and some vendor conversations in regards to Carmina shoes. http://www.styleforum.net/t/241469/c...hoe-p0rn/0_100 http://www.styleforum.net/t/338047/s...e-thread/0_100 Me, I'm just a boot and shoe nut. I have some other shoes which some do cost north of $1000 by shoemakers such as Edward Green, John Lobb, and St Crispin. But a number of others which don't by Vass, Crockett and Jones, Alfred Sargent, Carmina, and Alden. My experience with the ones by Carmina is that they make a very good quality product with a good looking Last which in my opinion are better looking than the typical American shoe Last (Not Blobby). Good Luck!!! ![]()
