Another "help me with this Rolex" thread :)

Hey gang,

Last night my mother in law approached me with this Rolex she found in her late husbands things while cleaning it out. She asked me if it was real and what was it worth (she's in need of some cash). Here's some photos:

I don't know enough about datejusts to know what to look for but outside of going to a rolex repair/watchmaker in downtown LA what else can I do to verify this being a legitimate Rolex?

Thanks.

The date magnification is off. I'd say it's fake!

Date font and cyclops magnification is off. Probably a fake!

Not feeling this one. What are the numbers on the bracelet nearest the case? Also the numbers on the end links please. Isn't looking good

The magnification is off.
If that is tritium. It looks brand new.
Get a rubber ball and open the case back.

It is definitely from Chinatown.

Big shame... I kinda figured it was fake. My late father in law wasn't the best shopper and I knew his home stereo system was all knock off. Fake rolex would make more sense.

Very fake.

A dead giveaway is that the lugs haven't been rebuffed and polished to death like on most real Rolex models more than a few years old.
