AP ROC RG or AP 44mm Ceramic
Hi guys,
I happened to drop by the AP Boutique on Orchard road and had a chance to try out the new Offshore all ceramic as well as the 41mm ROC RG (both white & black dials)... I have never considered an ROC before as I have always limited my interest in AP to the ROOC models having owned an AP Panda as well as a 44mm FC earlier... The reason I let go my FC initially was my desire to get the all ceramic but now having tried on the ROC RG with the black face I am in a dilemma. Bothe watches have a sticker price which is nearly the same ie. 50K SGD... Which would you guys choose... Discounts on the ROC RG are quite good whereas the ceramic I'm sure will not be available at a good discount until a few more months... Appreciate your feedback :-) |

I vote ROC
I would go for the FC 44mm over the ceramic. RG ROC vs FC 44mm...depends on your current collection to decide. |

I'll go for RoC in this case, not that big of a fan for ceramic.
But I will chose FC over ROC |

What do you typically wear? The ROC looks better with what you're wearing in that pic.
I'm more of a ROO person myself and never liked ROCs, only the standard RO, but in that pic I think the ROC looks better. |

RG ROC for me. Isn't the AP boutique at Liat Towers offering 10% off it?

Rg roc no doubt, gorgeous and fits you better
44 ceramic in person didn't do it for me I'd go forged carbon 44 if you want a black 44 |

After seeing the ceramic diver and 44mm in person I really hope AP sticks with FC instead of moving to ceramic. |

Well, I guess I'm alone, but the ceramic looks very cool to me. Stealth, smooth (Looks slick--vs FC), and can dress up or down.
That's my vote. |

I prefer 44mm FC vs. Ceramic. That said, ROG on strap is simply timeless. I would add both to my collection if I could.

have you seen the ceramic in person... I quite liked the feel of the watch and of course the finishing on the ceramic case is topnotch however as you can see from the wristshot it looked quite monotonous and greyish (if I may say) under certain angles under the light.... I would love to see how it looks under natural light/ sun light... In contrast on the FC that I earlier had, the ceramic bezel stood out against the marbled black carbon... I am still holding on to decide until I can hopefully see a few pics in the open on this forum... Another consideration is that the ceramic is quite a few thousand dollars more than what I could get a brand new FC for which does not seem reasonable to me.... |

It depends on what other watches you own.
IMHO the ROC is a better choice if you don't have many other watches to choose from. I would go ROC. I just bought a 44mm RG offshore and am considering exchanging it for a ROC as it is much lighter, more comfortable and more timeless. |
