16600 T Serial with Etched Crown Crystal
I purchased my first Rolex, a 16600 T Serial (1995?), last week. I just noticed that the crystal has the crown etched into it and the crown does not have the "S" in it to designate service. I also just read that the crown did not appear on crystals until after 2002 or so. I'm making the logical conclusion that the crystal on my watch was replaced at some point.
My questions are 1) Does a replaced crystal devalue the watch? and 2) If so, by how much? Thanks for the help. |

No and service crystals no longer have an S in the coronet, it does not devalue the watch
