What is the Classic Datejust Look?

There was a thread recently asking "Why no Datejust Love?" and in it I suggested the plethora of Datejust faces, metals, bracelets and sizes meant there wasn't a classic look.

But maybe I'm wrong. What do you think are the classic Datejust combinations of size, face, bracelet and metal(s)?

Here is what I consider classic. My TT DJ and a sweet woman by my side.

There are so many "classic looks" it's hard to keep track.

The SS with Silver Roman Dial, Jubilee band, Fluted bezel
The TT with Champaign Stick dial, Jubilee band, Fluted bezel
The SS with White Stick or Roman Dial, Jubilee band, Fluted bezel
The SS with Blue Roman Dial, Jubilee band, Fluted bezel

just to start ......

Brian I can't argue with that look at all especially a great lady by your side.

My personal favourite is the Datejust 1601 model with a black dial.

It is soo sweet:

I agree with Veltisko. The classic design of the DJ and probably the most recognizable too is the TT DJ with champagne dial, fluted bezel, and a jubilee bracelet. The dial also likely has either diamonds, roman numerals, or stick hour markers.

That's OK Jerome, he's sometimes referred to as "Fostie" as well.

People are always getting his name wrong.

I got the silver dial because if I ever got a DD, it would be a classic DD look with the champagne dial. Both being classic.
