Which Bergeon tool to size Rolex bracelets?

Hi Forum experts - just wondering which Bergeon screwdriver (ref number) is best for taking out links of Rolex bracelets..

What glue? I just use the screwdriver and turn the screw. Please enlighten me on this?

I've never heated up the glue, never had a problem. Also never put loctite in and never had a problem. I may be in the minority so don't listen to me unless others chime in and have had success the same way.

I have sized and worn well over 20 Rolexes this way and never had issue though.

in the screw threads there is some loctite glue to secure it.
So if the screw is hard to turn - don't use too much power. Heat up the other end with a lighter (weakens the glue) and then the screw comes off easily.

I always heat up the link where the screw threads in and it helps a lot to ease the screw out.

Wouldn't the lighter leave a mark?

Use the correct cut-off tipped Screwdriver.

It does not leave a mark, when you heat it up for 5-10 seconds.
Alternatively use a hairdrier for 1 minute.

Agreed it doesn't mark. Only ever needed to heat up 1 particularly stubborn screw. I held it for 10 seconds at a time above a candle until the loctite softened and I could get it out.

1.6 mm for a standard oyster
I used a 1.2mm on my super jubilee

I use a Bic lighter. And I prefer a hollow ground correctly sized screw driver. Some watchmakers use the lighter to help, and that's where I learned the trick. It leaves no mark, and does no damage of any kind to the bracelet. It helps, a lot in some cases.
