Looking to buy this 16013
role2.jpg
rol.jpg role1.jpg rolex.jpgHey guys. I found a deal on this watch and would like to buy it if its real. Its a late 80's Datejust. I cant find anything that says its fake, with the exception of the 16000 engraving on the inside of the case. Should it say 16013? I cant find anything to reference. The asking price is $2250 but I may get it for less as I have not made an offer. Is it a genuine 16013? I cant seem to find another for less the $3000 so is this too good to be true? Thanks everyone. |

The 16013 will be engraved between the case luges on the 12 o'clock sign, and appears to be in your 3rd photo. Case back should say 16000 and R serial is correct for a 16013. It was the last reference letter for plastic quickset models (some sapphire quickset models also come with R serial). Watch looks correct. Make sure the internal clasp is stamped 62523 H 18 and the letter of reference above it should be L.

It looks good but take into account a service expense if it has not had one in recent years..

On watches like the DJ having a acrylic or sapphire will not make much difference as watches like the DJ are not collectible type watches.

So if they go up in value, why are you getting such a good "deal"?
