I'd like to keep the price under $10k for the watch. Here's a little bit about me: I'm a short, single guy (w/6.5-inch wrist); I'm a conservative who drives a nice, leather-appointed pickup truck; I travel exclusively in the states going to concerts and baseball games, but would like to tour Southeast Asia; and I own my grandfather's vintage solid gold Movado watch. That should be enough. |

Sub, GMT or EXP. Start looking around now at your local shops and see what sings.

If I were you I would go to a local AD with a lot of stock, try all the different ones on and then buy the one that puts the biggest grin on your face!!! Maybe even the top 2 that make you smile if you go the preowned route from a trusted seller on here if your looking for SS models?
With your brief lifestyle disscricption I would say a GMT for travels or timing when to flip your eggs & the 36mm or 39mm explorer. Both great everyday knock around watches and you could buy both for under 10k and have two great watches!!

Since you are Bond, sub no date.
Since you travel a lot, GMT will come in handy. Or 39mm explorer for your height and wrist size. Those will be my 3 top pics. All have black dials which can fly under the radar. I assume that is what you want since you are a single guy that drives a pick up with leather seats but not a sports car. My assumption is you like finer, practical things in life. But not too showy. You have done your Harley phase and is 'settling down'. Now, go out and try them on and post your incoming! |

For a 50th, I'd go Gold - depending on budget of course, but if you can then why not!

SS sub or GMT gets my vote, based on your info. Try both the newer styles with ceramic and maxi dials, as well as the 5 digit references, their immediate predecessors.
